First up are two new holos from KBShimmer. Up & Cunning is a stunning deep teal holo and probably my favorite of the whole collection. It seems to be the shade I've seen most talked about online as well, and you can easily see why when looking at the swatches.
Not only does it have a beautiful holo effect, the color is just a fantastic shade of teal that you just can't help but stare at. Application was smooth and easy. I used 3 coats for all swatches, but you could most likely get away with just 2 coats.
And, of course, I needed to take this one outside into the sunlight.
The second new holo polish is called Rust No One. Christy describes it as a rusty, red leaning pumpkin color.
I also used 3 coats for all swatches of Rust No One, which had the same smooth, easy application as Up & Cunning.
The orange characteristics of this polish really start to glow when out in the sun.
Leaf Of Faith is a deep red jelly polish filled with glitters in red, orange and gold, reminiscent of the changing colors of the leaves in Fall.
I had full coverage in 2 coats, but added a 3rd to deepen the jelly color and match the look of the polish bottled. I topped it off with 2 coats of KBShimmer Clearly On Top top coat.
Another new glitter polish in the Fall collection, A Raisin To Live, is a deep, vampy burgundy shade full of small and micro sized holographic glitters.
There is just a ton of sparkle in this polish. Application was super easy, and after 3 coats of polish, I topped it off with 1 coat of Clearly On Top.
The last polish I received is a new cream shade called Stonewashed. This polish is practically a one coater. I applied a second coat to a few nails that I felt needed it, but with careful, even application, you could easily get away with a single coat of polish. I finished off Stonewashed with 1 coat of Clearly On Top top coat.
Stonewashed is a dusty navy shade and I can't really say I have anything else like in my stash. If you're a fan of blues, you need this. Usually when you think of Fall shades, you think browns and deep reds, but there's just something comforting and cozy about this blue shade that makes it perfect for Fall as well. And, as with previous collections, I'm really impressed with the application of the cream polishes that KBShimmer puts out.
Fall glitters and holos will retail for $8.75 on www.kbshimmer.com, cream shades will retail for $7.50 each. If purchasing outside of the U.S., KBShimmer is available through Harlow & Co. Also check out KBShimmer on Facebook for more swatches and updates.
