Tomorrow is March 1st and, while I already feel like 2015 is starting to fly by, I'm definitely enjoying the thought that Spring is around the corner! So on the subject of Spring, here are the rest of the polishes I had swatched from the new KBShimmer Spring 2015 Collection.
First up is a new crelly glitter polish called Meow Or Never. For these swatches, I applied 3 thin coats and then 1 layer of top coat.
Meow Or Never is a pale gray, slightly purple, crelly polish. It's full of multiple sized glitters in purple, gray, periwinkle, and sky blue. Application was smooth and easy, and the glitter spread easily and evenly.
The next shade is a peach crelly glitter called To Peach His Own. For this polish, I applied just 2 coats and then top coat. It contains glitter in shades of lime green, gold, violet, and magenta.
I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about this shade, peach shades don't always play well with my pale skin, but I loved it. I originally had swatched it wearing 3 coats and it seemed a little heavy to me. So I took it off, started over and stopped after 2 coats, which is what you see in these photos, and it was perfect with just the 2 coats.
I'm So Sweet Pea is probably my favorite crelly of this collection. It's a pale purple crelly polish, filled with glitters in pink, mint, purple, and turquoise. All swatches of I'm So Sweet Pea show 3 coats and 1 layer of top coat.
I think my favorite part of this polish is the addition of the turquoise glitter. The bits of turquoise really pop against all the pastel glitters and the pale purple base.
The last polish I have to show you, Eyes White Open, might seem a bit boring because it's a simple white cream. But don't underestimate this polish because it's one of the best white creams I've ever used.
When I saw the only cream in the Spring collection was going to be a white polish, I almost passed on it. But curiosity got the best of me. I've been really impressed with all of KBShimmer's other cream polishes, so I had to try the white. Eyes White Open is practically a one coater. I did use 2 thin coats just to make the coverage flawless looking, but this was the easiest white polish I've ever worked with. Most white creams I've used in the past were streaky and patchy, and I would need 3 coats or more just to get okay coverage. With Eyes White Open, coverage was almost perfect after just the first coat. It applied evenly, no streaks, no bald spots, just great coverage and flow.
I'll definitely be using Eyes White Open as a base for some nail art or glitter. All 4 polishes, and the rest of the Spring 2015 Collection, are available for purchase at KBShimmer.com. The crelly shades retail for $8.75 each, and KBShimmer cream shades retail for $7.50 each.
